A blind sort works like this:
- Headers or key cards that are glued into the spelling book establish the categories.
- A partner (peer or teacher) shuffles the word cards and calls each word aloud without showing it.
- The child indicates the correct category by pointing to or naming the header (spelling pattern/category).
- The printed word card is revealed and put in place.
- Check if the word is in the correct place and move it if it is not.
