A big portion of this unit's work has centered on the different ways we use our imagination. At the beginning of the unit we brainstormed all of the ways we currently use our imaginations using the FUNCTION concept key. We gradually sorted these ideas into categories and decided that imagination is mostly connected to creating, thinking, pretending, designing and redesigning. A lot of questions arose as we continued to explore. Our investigation pursued an answer to one student's 'seed of thought': "I wonder how many different types of imagination we have". As we continued exploring, we made many independent discoveries. Miss Alison also demonstrated several uses of imagination that we had not thought of. The black and white sticky notes represent new ideas that were added when revising our original poster.
