Albert Einstein used Thought Experiments to support his thinking. Thought experiments are questions that can only be solved using the imagination. In fact, Einstein came up with his Theory of Relativity by conducting a Thought Experiment and asking the question: "What would it be like to travel on a beam of light?"
When Ms. Alison shared this knowledge with the class, the enthusiasm was overwhelming! The children were so inspired by Einstein that they proposed to conduct their own thought experiments. Children individually brainstormed all of the questions they might want to answer and chose one. They spent time imagining all the possible answers to their question, using structures, models, drawing, and writing to represent their ideas.
