Starting with photographs and a video of the library and our 'See-Think-Wonder' and 'Looking: Ten Times Two" thinking routines, we began to ask questions about all the different things we observed in this space and what their connection was to imagination.
Once we had collected all our ideas, we set out to answer our questions. First by discussing with each other, then by using the child-friendly Google search engine 'Kid Rex'. The information we found was very useful to answer a lot of our questions. A few research groups even found and watched a TED Talk with the Library's owner Jay Walker! At the end of our research though, one question remained unclear: Why exactly did Mr. Walker decide to build this library? We collected all of our individual theories, but one group suggested that this was not enough and said that we needed to write Mr. Walker a letter. So...we did! We are waiting to hear back and will hopefully uncover the answer to our final question soon.
A major discovery that resulted from viewing the library was that imagination can be used for invention.
